Shipping your beer samples

Shipping your beer samples is simple: choose a GBC warehouse based on your location and send your samples. Specific warehouse addresses will be published on June 24, 2025, and entrants will be notified via email hello(a)grandbeerchallenge.com. Entrants cover shipping costs to the chosen warehouse; GBC handles any onward transportation costs after arrival.

Europe – Frankfurt, Germany

Breweries in the EU should ship to our Frankfurt warehouse for tariff-free delivery within the EU.

UK – London

UK breweries should ship to our London warehouse for efficient delivery.

U.S. – Los Angeles

U.S.-based breweries should ship to our Los Angeles warehouse for convenient delivery.

China – Shanghai

Breweries in China should ship to our Shanghai warehouse for streamlined processing.

International – Hong Kong (TAX FREE for entries with < 30% vol)

Breweries from any country can ship to our Hong Kong warehouse.

  • If shipping across regions (e.g., non-EU to Frankfurt, non-U.S. to Los Angeles), entrants must handle their own customs clearance. For simplicity, we recommend shipping to Hong Kong (TAX FREE for entries with < 30% vol.)
  • If you have samples or a distributor in a warehouse’s region (e.g., a Brazilian brewery with stock in the U.S.), you may ship directly from there to the local warehouse (e.g., Los Angeles).

Follow these steps to prepare and ship your beer samples for the Grand Beer Challenge:

  1. Samples Delivery Window: July 01 – 30, 2025. Samples arriving after July 30 will not be accepted, and no refunds will be issued.
  2. Sample Requirements: Prepare at least 6 samples per entry (e.g., bottles, cans, or mini kegs), ≥ 500ml each for 6 units, or more if smaller (e.g., 8 x 400ml) to total at least 3000mL.
  3. Delivery Label: Download the delivery label from your GBC account after June 24, 2025, complete it, and attach it to your shipping box.
  4. Shipping Charges: Beers cannot be accepted by our logistic partner if the charges associated with shipping have not been paid.
  5. Packaging: Securely pack your samples to prevent damage.
  6. Tracking: GBC is not responsible for tracking the shipping of your beers, please ensure everything is in order before sending your beers.

Do I Need To Insure My Beer?

GBC and its logistic partner will not take responsibility for beer damaged or lost whilst in transit. In the event that for reasons beyond the reasonable control of GBC, it is necessary or advisable for the Grand Beer Challenge to be cancelled, GBC cannot accept any liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss of profit, damage or expense of any kind incurred as the result of such a cancellation.
